Chip Sellers is the Executive Vice President of LaSalle Debt Investors (formerly Latitude Management Real Estate Investors).
Prior to joining Latitude Debt Investors, Chip was a Principal at Prudential Carbon Mesa where he was chairman of the credit committee for the company and its funds. He was also responsible for reporting and compliance functions at PCM. From 1995 to 1998 he was Vice President and Senior Portfolio manager at ING Real Estate Investors and was the chief operational officer responsible for the Mountain AMD portfolio, which was one of two public-private partnerships in which the FDIC participated. Through the term of this partnership Chip was the FDIC’s primary contact on this portfolio. He was also responsible for the management and disposition of ING’s B piece portfolio, and worked with Glenn Sonnenberg to successfully obtain a Special Servicer rating for ING Real Estate Investors.
Prior to his work at ING, Mr. Sellers worked for First Nationwide Bank and was one of the two principals responsible for the formation of Mountain AMD and the sale of FNB’s interest in that portfolio to ING. His other duties at FNB included credit monitoring and his role as a lead participant on the real estate portfolio annual reserve reviews by the FDIC and OTS. Prior to his work at FNB, he was First Vice President of Security Pacific National Bank after beginning his career at Merrill Lynch Capital Markets.
Chip graduated with honors from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, with a BA in economics and received his MBA in finance from the University of California at Los Angeles.
