Mathias Malzbender is Managing Director, Global Solutions, with a primary focus on a large global indirect real estate mandate investing in joint-ventures, club deals and co-investments. Prior to his current role, Mathias was Head of Separate Accounts, Europe at LaSalle, where he led the team managing direct private equity accounts on behalf of major institutional investors with more than €3 billion in assets across the entire risk spectrum.
Mathias joined LaSalle in 2015 and his career in real estate began in 2006. During this time, Mathias has overseen €5 billion of real estate acquisitions and disposals in more than 30 transactions across Europe and the UK. His expertise spans the logistics, student housing, retail, office and hotel sectors.
Mathias is fluent in English, French and German. He holds an MBA from the School of Business and Economics at the Freie Universität Berlin and recently completed INSEAD’s flagship General Management Programme. He is a Certified Real Estate Investment Analyst with the German Society for Investment Professionals and holder of the AMF certificate from the French financial markets regulator.
