Sophie Simmonds

Sophie Simmonds is the Managing Director of LaSalle’s UK Custom Accounts team. She is responsible for leading the UK Fund Management team and is the senior Fund Manager for some of Lasalle’s key corporate and Local Authority pension fund clients, managing both real and relative return mandates investing in direct property across the United Kingdom. Sophie also sits on LaSalle’s’ European Sustainability Task Force.

Sophie works particularly closely with the firm’s Research and Strategy, Asset Management and Sustainability teams, identifying performance-enhancing themes and objectives for implementation. She works with Fund Managers to position portfolios appropriately to deliver outperformance within the context of each portfolio’s risk and return objectives. She is also responsible for new business within UK Custom Accounts, developing and implementing ideas for specialist strategies. Having joined Lasalle as a graduate in 2005, Sophie has experience of working with a wide range of clients across various mandate types with experience across all sectors of the UK market.

Sophie holds a Master of Earth Science degree from Oxford University and a Master of Property Valuation and Law from Cass Business School. She is a certified person under the UK Senior Managers and Certification Regime and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
